The 2011 Washington State 9-10 Softball Tournament Champions are
District 9 – Sno-Valley North
District 9 Sno-Valley North pitched their ace Elaine Townley against District 1 South Snohomish and stuck with her the whole game. South Snohomish was the home team and was ahead 1 – 0 after one inning. Sno-Valley answered in the top of the 2nd and put up another run in the top of the 4th. That was the extent of the scoring. With the exception of one walk Townley retired 16 of the last 17 batters she faced and had 6 strikeouts for the game. Not to be outdone, South Snohomish’s Kendall Curtis also pitched the entire game and finished with 11 strikeouts.
Great game!! Two championship caliber teams for sure.
