The 2009 Northwest Region & Washington State Major League Baseball Tournament Champions are
District 9 – Mercer Island
Mercer Island headed down to San Bernardino as the Washington State Champions. They then headed to Williamsport Pennsilvania to compete in the Little League World Series as the Northwest Region Champions.
Mercer Island never lost a game during their time at the Washington State tournament. They continued their winning ways in San Bernardino with 4 wins and no losses in pool play. They went on to beat Alaska in the Semi-Final game and Oregon in the Final.
